Community Involvement

Put others first and be selfless.  This is the heart and soul at MarketOne Builders, and is evidenced by the countless hours and resources dedicated by the company annually.  It is our duty to give back to our community and support those in need.  The following are a few select not for profit organizations that we support and we encourage you to visit them for more information about their mission.  Stay tuned to the M1B blog for recent activities and announcements. 

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – LLS.org

Partner, James Fitzgerald, has been actively involved with LLS since 2008, and in 2010 was reigned "Man of the Year" for his quest to raise more than $80,000 for local blood cancer research.  Field superintendents George Frogue and Sean Kotke followed pursuit in subsequent years and raised an additional $60,000 for the cause.  M1B continues to support the Man & Woman of the Year campaign each year.

WEAVE – weaveinc.org

Partner, Tom Ford, has supported WEAVE and their mission to bring an end to domestic violence and sexual assault in partnership with our community.  Tom is an active member of their Board of Directors and each year can be seen "Walking a Mile in Her Shoes" - an annual event to raise funds and awareness.

Preserves and revitalizes homes and communities to ensure that homeowners who are low-income, elderly, disabled or families with children live independently in comfort, safety and efficiency.  MarketOne Builders leads a team annually to refurbish homes in disrepair.  Keep up to date on our blog for current plans and announcements.

 

The Jackson Laboratory National Council – JAX.org

An independent, nonprofit organization focusing on mammalian genetics research to advance human health. Their mission is to discover precise genomic solutions for disease and empower the global biomedical community in the shared quest to improve human health. 

Sacramento Children's Home – kidshome.org

The Sacramento Children's Home is committed to helping build strong families; to opening doors to the future; to maximizing potential; and ending the cycle of child abuse. The Sacramento Children's Home provides care to the most vulnerable children and families in the Sacramento community. Established in 1867, the Sacramento Children's Home has always been deeply committed to the care of children and families. Our community-based, residential and educational programs address the issues of children, newborn to 21, and range from prevention of child abuse and parenting education, to acute trauma treatment.

Jenna & Patrick's Foundation of Hope – jennaandpatrick.org

A voluntary, nonprofit organization made up of parents, medical professionals, friends, relatives and others who are interested in fighting Cystinosis. Our vision is a world where Cystinosis is no longer a threat to a full and productive life for children and their families. Families affected by Cystinosis will not be devastated by the diagnosis or its impact on their lives. Individuals with Cystinosis will have the same chance at life as their siblings and peers to run and play, hope and achieve, and live out their dreams.

Junior Diabetes Foundation – jdrf.org

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.
